I've lived here for about a year and a half, and felt a bit ashamed when I admitted to a friend that I hadn't tried durian yet. So, Friday I bought some cut durian, along with my usual groceries, and put it in the fridge. To make a long story short: 2 days, 1 bottle of disinfectant, 3 haze plug-ins set to full power and approximately 10 man hours (is there a PC term for that yet?) of scrubbing and rescrubbing the fridge, and my apartment STILL smells like something's died (yes, I did check, in case it was merely a coincidence, and there’s no sign of any dead things).

Anyone know of any remedies – other than moving out, or surgically removing my nose?

PS: Yes, no need to mention it, lesson learnt!
