Recommendation and hope you can afford this lens - Canon 17-40mm EF USM Lens – excellent lens
If not, go for the Canon 20-35/3.5-4.5 USM.
For landscapes and buildings – I am using the Nikon 17-35 f2.8 – love that lens.

others will probably also reply, but for me I went to John 3:16 in Funan Mall / Centre ..... am sure their prices would compare with other places, but I just found them extremely helpful. Good luck!
