If you like seafood, catch the Brunch at Shangri La. Was there last Sunday and feasted on fresh oysters, mussels, slipper lobsters, crawfish, prawns. Plus sushi and sashimi (tuna, salmon, swordfish and more...).

Lots of other Brunch items too -- from champagne to a chocolate fountain. A real treat, although a tad pricey, but certainly worthwhile for the once-in-a-while special occasion.

Just got back from the Night Festival -- at Singapore National Museum and across the street at SMU.

It's on for one more night. July 11th. Don't miss it. Malay, Indian and Chinese music and dance on the SMU lawn...drums!...a night market (actually, this you can miss --it's just a bunch of cheap stuff)...special exhibits in the museum (which is open until 2 AM)...and a pyrotechnics display at 10.30.

Singaporeans are the world's biggest movie watchers per capita. So most of you may know this blog, but if not, it's a great place to find out what's coming in the theatres and to get people's opinions on what's already being shown in them!

Gosh...I almost forgot to blow my own horn. I have an article in the latest edition of Asian Geographic. Take a look at "Green Means Go" -- it's about environmentally friendly travel in Asia. Great photos too, although I can't take credit for them. (Magazine isn't available in every newsstand, but can be found at places like Times, MPH, and Page One bookstores. )

I hate to admit the junk-food-loving side of me, even to myself...but it is there! And one of my favourite burger chains -- Wenday's -- is coming to S'pore. In fact, they're opening 35 stores over the next few years! The good thing about Wendy's: They offer side salads, mandarin oranges, fresh tomatoes and onions, etc. and other healthy choices you can add to the burger. Please let them do that in S'pore. I'll eat it--even if no one else here will!
